WPQ is the creative partnership of Sean MacPhee and David L. Byrne. Roomates/housemates all through college, Sean and David constantly are coming up with ideas for projects across various media and very sporadically even take them out to some sort of conclusion. The name "WPQ" is derived from the pseudonyms that Sean and David initally adopted for comic creation: "Winona Parkway" (Sean) and "Prof. Quadrangle" (David). This presentation of their work is hardly very refined or complete, but it will do for now.
The Creation of Life on Earth - A short claymation narrating the first moments of Creation. AVI format.
Harvey Birdman DVD Spot - In early 2005, Cartoon Network held a contest to create a promotional spot for the upcoming release of the Harvey Birdman: Attorney At Law DVD. WPQ accepted the challange one day before the deadline. WPQ's offering wasn't chosen as a finalist, but only because of tyrranical location release laws and a school lawyer who was very affable, but who had reservations about a few things and was ultimately unable to help. Quicktime MOV format.
Hit Me Baby (One More Time) - Sean and David's fortunate but thankfully brief cover of B. Spears' unfortunate and inexcusably lengthy hit single. MP3 format.
John Henry's Hammer - Written in 12 hours, between 8pm on 28 January 2005 and 8am on 29 January 2005 as a part of TCNJ's Wired 24-hour play writing/performing competition, "John Henry's Hammer" was Sean and David's stunning debut in the dramatic world. It was performed the night of the 29th, at 8pm. It won nothing.
WPQ originally intended to do a whole series of comics for submission to the TCNJ school weekly newspaper, "The Signal," whose standard comic fare is habitually sparse and sickly. They managed to complete one comic before succumbing to bone-breaking laziness.
